Directions: From South, take M5 to J12, then A38 to Gloucester. Head for A40 and take A417 towards Ledbury for 10 miles, go over M50 then in ¾ mile turn right. Hall on right in ¼ mile.
The meet opens at 1pm, and closes at noon on the final day. There are toilets, washrooms and showers available all weekend. The cost is £9.00 per unit night plus £3.00 per person per night, with under 18s camping as part of a unit being free. Pets are welcome on site but not in the hall. The South West area look forward to giving you a very warm welcome to the beautiful Malvern Hills area, with some great walks in and around the historic town of Ledbury.
The hall is available all day for a variety of activities. Evenings will be combination of dancing to a live band, song and music spots.
We will have craft workshops each full day including hoop art, card making, iris folding, encaustic wax, fabric painting and needle felt. On the first day, as people are arriving, there will be informal craft gatherings.
There will also be singers’ workshops/sessions, music sessions (including some slower tunes) and band sessions.
On the Saturday (21st) (time tbc when workshops have been finalised) there will be a “Member’s Meeting” (an opportunity for folk group members to have a say in future activities and directions) followed by a Bring ‘n’ Share supper.
And after that, the next National Meet for the folk group will be at Easter when we are holding our Spring Festival at Evesham 17-23 April, 2025. This event is still in the organisational stage, but will have its own website soon, which will be linked here when it is published.
